The Japonica Cottage in Bourton-on-the-Water was a cozy and charming place to stay. The room had a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it feel like a home away from home. The bathroom was modern and clean, with a choice between a bathtub or shower. I loved the feeling of relaxation and comfort it provided after a long day of exploring.
Personally, I didn't care for the karaoke machine in the common area. But hey, I understand that some people might find it fun and entertaining.

I recently stayed at a charming cottage in a fantastic location. It was warm, cozy, and perfect for the cold weather. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the cottage was close to public transport, making it easy to explore the area. I appreciated the excellent instructions provided for recycling. The kitchen had everything I needed, including a full range of cleaning products. It was a lovely touch to find a box of chocolates left for me. There were two dining room tables, giving me the option to dine in the kitchen or conservatory depending on the weather. The cottage had virtually everything I needed, and I was pleasantly surprised to find a hairdryer provided.
Although I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, there were a few minor inconveniences. The driveway was a bit tight for my vehicle, which made parking a bit challenging.

The location was absolutely amazing for exploring the area and the parking space was super useful. The cottage itself was so pleasant and had everything we needed, including comfy bedding and towels. We discovered some awesome local parks that our kids loved, and the nearby Coop was mind-blowing with its delicious produce and pastries. The laundry room was a bit tricky to find, but once we did, it was easy to retrieve the keys. The stairs to the first floor were a bit challenging, but manageable. The outside space was great and there were loads of amenities within walking distance. We couldn't hear the church bells, so they didn't disturb our sleep. The cottage is also pet-friendly, which was a huge plus for us. Bourton-on-the-Water is a fabulous place with plenty to do and lots of great places to eat. The conservatory was a delightful spot to relax in.

The room at Japonica Cottage was like a cozy nest nestled in nature. I felt completely immersed in the peaceful surroundings, with the soothing sounds of the birds and the rustling leaves outside the window. It was the perfect retreat for someone like me who craves a direct connection with nature.
Personally, I found the lack of a bathtub at Japonica Cottage a bit disappointing. However, I understand that others may still find enjoyment in the available showers.

Lovely little cottage, perfect for a cozy getaway. Great location with easy access to all the Cotswold villages. Plus, they even allow dogs!
Who needs instructions for heating anyway? Just spend a freezing night trying to figure it out, no big deal.
